Neil Danns told clubs hoping to take advantage of Crystal ­Palace’s money worries to look elsewhere.

The future of the Eagles’ young stars has been in doubt since they were docked 10 points for going into administration last month.

They had to sell star man Victor Moses to Wigan for a bargain £2.5m last month.

But a takeover could be on the cards and Palace have had a great week on the pitch – ­following up a 3-1 FA Cup win over Wolves by beating Scunthorpe to climb away from the Championship drop zone. Danns, 27, grabbed the ­winner in stoppage-time with his third goal in as many games.

It was a blow for Scunthorpe, who had hit back with 10 men to equalise through David Mirfin’s header six minutes from the end following Darren Ambrose’s ­earlier strike. Danns said: “If the investors come in and push ­forward, then we hope we’ll be able to keep the talented players here and they can fulfil their ­ambitions with Crystal Palace.”

Nigel ­Adkins bemoaned Marcus Williams’ red card – Scunthorpe’s fourth of the season .

Paul Tierney, in charge of his first Championship match, sent off the full-back for a ­professional foul on Kieran ­Djilali.

Scunny boss Adkins said: “That’s the third game we’ve lost when we’ve had a player sent off. It’s very ­disappointing .”
