Last time Danny proposed to the lovely Alice, she turned him down. Not because she didn't want to marry him – although personally I think she could do a whole lot better for herself – but because she felt it wasn't the right time. Since then, however, she and Danny's volatile stepdaughter Olivia seem to have sorted out their differences, so in this final episode of the series, Danny decides to pop the question for a second time.

Take the cameras to a busy maternity ward (this one’s at Southampton’s Princess Anne Hospital) and spend a month observing what happens.

But, as we’re soon reminded, no two births are ever the same, and the programme captures the drama, intensity and emotion of the experience for all concerned.
