INTERNATIONAL shoppers discovering internet retailer Asos are helping it combat a UK sales slowdown caused by the Royal Mail strikes and youth unemployment.
The firm, which offers cut-price takes on stars’ outfits, yesterday
reported a 9% rise in pre-tax profit to £4.4million for the six months
to the end of September on sales up 47% to £96.5million.
Overseas sales more than doubled as the firm added 56 countries to its
shipping list.
